There's a question that comes up in our inbox and in conversation, gently, often.

When will Held+Free be able to help women financially?

The honest answer is: not yet, but we're building toward it.

The Held+Free Foundation is the charitable arm of Held+Free. It exists to provide direct financial support to Australian women business owners navigating crisis, the kind of support that helps a woman keep her business alive while she steadies the rest of her life.

That work is ahead of us. Before we can provide financial support, we need to put the right structures in place.

The work we're doing now.

We're working toward registration with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), and endorsement as a Deductible Gift Recipient under Item 1 (DGR1) by the Australian Taxation Office.

These two endorsements matter. They allow donors to give with tax-deductible confidence. They unlock philanthropic and government funding. They mean that when we begin to provide financial support, it will be properly governed, properly resourced, and built to last.

We can't give a fixed timeframe. The process is rigorous, and we want it to be. The women we're going to help deserve a Foundation that holds.

While the Foundation is in set-up, our resources are open, free, and ready to use.
